![]() ![]() ![]() It's significantly more limited in every way. But I figured I'd try EZBurner out anyway, in case it was even better. Lately, I've been using Burnaware Free because it does data burning very well in a lightweight package. I have just about every burning software there is.all of them have at least one significant fault which keeps me looking. The software interface itself is too limited in features and design, so I would never use it anyway. But I decided not to waste a disc trying to burn anything with EZ-Burnaware. I don't see a way to set it to split discs like Burnaware, but it's possible it could do it, just automatically. so you're stuck with a little window (relative to my display) scrolling.)ĮZBurner doesn't have - as far as I can see - a means to tell you about the disc in the drive, as does Burnaware. ![]() ![]() When i use my sparker to light it it sounds like its lit then BAM, it cuts out. No feedback from EZBurner.ĮZBurner has a handle to enlarge the window, but the window would not enlarge. I just built a new Reil Style 3/4' EZ burner. While it was doing it's blinky thing, I loaded burnaware free, dropped the same folder tree on it, and even though it started a lot later, it finished in about 5 seconds, while EZBurner churned on for more than three or four minutes.īurnaware Free told me exactly the estimated disc size. I need a little help understanding this type of burner though. No dialog showing progress like Burnaware free. I was going to make a coal burning forge but propane seems to be easier to control, cheaper and easily obtained. It sat there blinking for a long time while it was reading. Apparently, you need to add folder subtrees using "Add Folder", otherwise it just picks up the files you select, and ignores the folders you select. Added ied to load a whole folder with subfolders. This is Gary's take on the burner and aside from how it is made there is a photo of the burner in action and some video as well. The EZ burner is an adaptation of Ron Reil's original burner, the main difference is the end is not flared which would have to be done by heating the end up and hammering it on an anvil. The burner project listed below from Gary Overman is based on the popular Ron Reil burners that you find all over the internet. EZ Burner (Easy Burner) designed by Ron Reil, originally designed for a forge it would be suitable for a furnace. For an example of forced air see the Gingery Gas Fired Crucible Furnace located elsewhere on this site. The project below is of the latter design. The next type is a natural draft burner, where air is mixed with the gas by the vacuum generated by the gas as it shoots down the burner. The first is forced air, which uses a fan of some type with the gas to create a combustable mix. There are two varieties that I am aware of that you can use. The first step that needs to happen to use propane for a heat source is to build some type of burner that will use it. Of these three, propane seems to be the next logical step for the hobby caster. For example, Natural Gas, Propane and Waste Oil. As a result, some people want to investigate going to some other heat source. Sometimes, it is just the fact that charcoal is messy and a little clumsy if you want to do more than one melt at a time. The charcoal foundry is easy to put together and build, but at some point the caster wants something more from his or her hobby. Aluminum is considered a cooler metal by comaprison to Brass and Bronze and is easier to melt and pour. Most people who start out metal casting, generally start with some type of metal like Aluminum and a charcoal foundry. VEVOR 3b Gas Propane Forge Furnace Burner Blacksmith Metal Making Three.
